Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is basically the opposite of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). When we talk about SEO we are talking about creating a relationship with the search engines like Google. SEM on the other hand is similar to traditional advertising and allows you to pay for immediate exposure.
SEM has two forms, pay per click (PPC) or pay per impression (PPM) both have their advantages, a slingshot representative will help you decide which one will work best for you and your goals.
PPC means that every time someone clicks your ad, you pay. This type of ad is found in the results of search engines and is usually at the top and bottom of Google, but can also be managed as a product listing.
First we determine how competitive your market is online. The more competitive it is the more you typically pay. Local markets tend to pay less than national or regional ones. So, if you are a small business you may find yourself dominating the competition in just months!
We are online advertising perfectionist, and would like to advise you up front that a carefully targeted campaign will require a landing page, integration with your website and daily monitoring. NEVER settle for subpar management and strategy to save; or (cough, cough) waste a dime.

So! So, what? Its 2016, and marketers have never before had the ability to make these types of detailed decisions based on attributions models like we can today! Its about time you benefit!
It’s simple, really. If your spending time and money on multiple campaigns you have to properly track which campaign makes the money and how the others tie into the picture. See the bottom line difference using Slingshot ROA!
Both PPC & PPM campaigns require a set-up fee and a minimum advertising budget of $500 a month.
The AD budget refers to the payments that are made directly to the channel you are advertising on. The management fee is how we get paid. There are no strings attached, and unlike SEO there are no contract periods.
If you are selling products we will suggest Google Merchant or Amazon PPC campaigns. This path requires an additional set up fee, monthly management fee and a 2% perpetuity fee per sale during the campaign period.
NO SEM campaign includes the cost of the AD’s. This is because the ads themselves will only need to be purchased one time per campaign, but a campaign typically runs for more than one month, 3 months is average.
Our flat fees were designed with your goals, budget and transparency in mind, and we hope you appreciate that. We are always honest and if your particular cost per click is higher than your budget we will not proceed. Why? Well, sure we love getting paid, but what good does it do either of us if getting paid means we have to put your add in front of an audience that doesn’t want to see it? We are fair and here for results, expect that.
O, one last thing we play by the rules. This means that working with us requires you to agree by the current and changing regulations set forth by Google AdWords, and Facebook Ads. If you choose to display on Bing Ads, Yahoo or Amazon you will have to pay an additional set up fee.
